Call for Postdoctoral Researchers
1. Introduction
The Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences, was among the first institutions approved by the State Council in 1985 to establish postdoctoral research programs. It currently hosts two nationally recognized postdoctoral research stations in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering & Technology, with 325 postdoctoral researchers.
DICP places great importance on postdoctoral training, with many researchers publishing in top journals such as Science, Angewandte Chemie, Chemical Science, and JACS. The institute actively supports postdoctoral researchers in applying for grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Over the past three years, postd octoral researchers at DICP have received over 200 grants, with a success rate of nearly 60%.
To attract top talent, DICP offers the Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellowship, providing annual funding ofCNY 100,000–300,000to up to 30% of new postdoctoral researchers. As of December 2024, 148 researchers have received this fellowship. Recipients can also apply for additional funding from national, provincial, municipal, and institutional programs.
As of December 2024, over 190 postdoctoral researchers at DICP earn more thanCNY 300,000per year, making up nearly 50% of the total. The highest annual income has exceededCNY 800,000, including multiple funding sources.
