Part I: Application and Review Process
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree, generally awarded within the past three years. They should possess good moral character, excellent academic performance, and be in good health. The applicant is usually expected to be under 35 years of age and must commit to a postdoctoral tenure of no less than 24 months. The applicant must also meet the specific requirements of the intended postdoctoral position.
Recommendation Letters and Evaluation
Applicants must submit two electronic recommendation letters from experts to the Human Resources Office (Email:liuchang@dicp.ac.cn) and the intended academic advisor. The academic advisor will organize an entry evaluation conducted by a panel of five or more senior-level experts (professor-level or equivalent). The advisor must not be part of the evaluation panel. For applicants with an overseas PhD degree, the evaluation can be conducted remotely via video conferencing.
Prior to the evaluation, the applicant is required to prepare a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation outlining their doctoral research and proposed postdoctoral research plan. The research group is responsible for organizing the evaluation and appointing a secretary for the defense session.
The applicant must submit the PPT presentation to the Human Resources Office for review (Email:liuchang@dicp.ac.cn) at least three days before the evaluation.
Acceptance Letter
Upon passing the entry evaluation, the applicant may contact the Human Resources Office (Email:liuchang@dicp.ac.cn) to obtain the official Acceptance Letter for Foreign Postdoctoral Fellows (English version).
Part II: Submission of Hardcopy Review Materials
After obtaining preliminary approval from both the academic advisor and the postdoctoral mobile station, the applicant must submit the following hardcopy documents in the specified order:
A photocopy of the doctoral degree certificate.
An Apostille Certificationof the academic credential, obtained from the relevant authority in the country where the degree was awarded, in accordance with the Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents(also known as the Hague Apostille Convention).
A photocopy of the applicant’s passport.
ThePostdoctoral Entry Review Form, which will be signed and stamped by the Human Resources Office. A scanned copy will be sent to the applicant, who must upload it to the postdoctoral online system.
Note:
The above documents (Items 1–4) should be submitted in one set, printed or copied double-sided on A4 paper. Do not bind the documents. Originals are required only for verification and must be submitted to the Human Resources Office for approval.
Part III: Online Application Process
Online Registration
Applicants must log into the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation website (http://www.chinapostdoctor.org.cn/) and enter the Interactive Online Office System(系统入口). After registering a user account as an applicant, they should fill in and submit the required information. Downloadable form templates are available in the "Downloads" section of the website.
Submission of Online Application
Within the Interactive Online Office System, applicants must read the instructions carefully and follow the prompts to complete the postdoctoral application.
Navigate to:Office Business → New Application → Select Mobile Station → Fill in Information.
The system will generate a downloadable Postdoctoral Application Form, which should be printed out and submitted along with the required hardcopy materials to the Human Resources Office.
Upon approval, the Human Resources Office will return a scanned, stamped copy of the Postdoctoral Entry Review Form to the applicant by email, which must then be uploaded to the online system.
Accuracy of Information
All information entered into the online system must be accurate and complete. Applicants will be held responsible for any delays in processing due to errors or omissions in the application.
Important Reminder:
Applicants may commence work only after completing the review and approval process in the postdoctoral online system (notification will be sent via text message or can be tracked within the system).
Applicants are advised to monitor the progress of their application in the China Postdoctoral Office System. Once approval is granted, please follow the Postdoctoral Registration Procedure to prepare relevant documents and complete the onboarding process.

After sending the email specified in Step 2 to the Human Resources Office and receiving the first reply email, please follow the instructions provided in that email to complete the following procedures:
1. Complete the *Safety and Confidentiality Education and Training*.
2. Make an appointment for onboarding. Report to the Human Resources Office at the appointed time to sign the *Postdoctoral Entry Agreement*.
Upon receiving the second reply email, please proceed according to the instructions provided to complete the following:
1. Apply for an institutional email account.
2. Apply for internet access. (Note: Internet access application can only be submitted after the email application is approved.)
3. Apply for postdoctoral housing. Use the designated housing application link provided in the postdoctoral apartment application interface. Please complete the application via a web browser.
4. Apply for an *All-in-One Access Card* (which functions as both an access control card and a meal card).
